How We Raise Our Puppies

Health Tested Parents

At Reid & Rae Doodles our journey begins with healthy, happy parents. All of our parent dogs are extremely well mannered, have a great temperament and undergo not only genetic but physical health testing.

Pregnancy & Whelping Care

At Reid & Rae Doodles our dams are given the best care throughout their pregnancy. Form vet visits, extra nutrition, on-call vet services, and more, our Moms are well prepared to bring their puppies into the world. Once due date approaches, Moms are integrated into their whelping area. Moms receive daily massages and grooming care.

ENS & ESI

We being ENS(Early Neurological Stimulation) and ESI(Early Scent Introduction) including gentle handling and daily weights at 3 days old all the way to 16 days old. ENS is known to improve cardiovascular performance, stronger heartbeats, stronger adrenal gland, more tolerance to stress, abdominal greater resistance to disease. ESI improves nose awareness and confidence.

Curriculum

At 3 weeks we also begin socializing our puppies ti different sounds, sights, textures, things to climb on, run through and more. We believe in empowering over enabling our puppies. We set them up to conquer physical and mental challenges everyday. By doing this we build our puppies nerve strength and confidence as well as problem solving.

Temperament Testing

At 7 weeks of age we conduct a puppy aptitude test on each pup. During the test we focus on 12 important traits to help make sure you get a puppy that fits you, your lifestyle and your needs as well as honoring who the puppy is. Once testing and vet checks are completed. Families will be able to watch evaluation videos and see scorecards of each puppy in order to make the right decision for their family on go home day.
